Hispanic Lives Matter Charity

Hello Friends,

I founded Hispanic Lives Matter Charity in November 2021 as a tongue-in-cheek but sincere effort to help bring attention to the needs of Hispanic communities around the United States, especially in the wake of tragic events in the last decade. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of the Hispanic community, for when we lift one community, we lift all, keeping with our motto, "¡Mi Comunidad es mi Familia!" ("My Community is my Family!").

At Hispanic Lives Matter Charity, 501(c)(3) pending, we seek to help those of Hispanic and Latino heritage further themselves and make the most of their professional, personal, and familial lives instead of being left behind by politicians who make promises but only deliver “solutions” that have surface-level impacts but in reality are deeply ineffectual.

To reach our stated goal, we want to get involved in the following (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Provide scholarships for college and trade schools

  • Provide housing assistance to those in critical danger of losing housing

  • Provide financial responsibility education

  • Provide education on community awareness programs

  • Assist with community projects that directly benefit Hispanic-majority communities

  • Provide special-needs education assistance to low-income families whose children have a critical need for individualized attention to keep up with their cohort

As mentioned, the above list is what we wish to focus on in our daily activities, but we have one big project that we want to start soon:

The Armed-Forces Suicide Awareness and Prevention Project or ASAPP. This project needs your support to provide funding for research and support into the suicide and suicidal ideation epidemic of the United States military, emphasizing the fastest-growing section, the Hispanic population.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could donate or pass the message on; every little bit helps!

Sincere Thanks,

Jared Barela
